 No. 3 Mt. Madonna (18-9) vs. No. 2 Santa Catalina (20-3) at Thomas More, San Jose, 5:30 p.m.
  The Hawks are a sleeper in the Division V tournament, having won 18 matches and finishing 8-6 in the Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League.
 The Watsonville-based program had little trouble in beating Oakwood in the DV quarterfinals. Setter Sophia Saavedra has compiled nearly 600 assists this fall.
 Sophie Ortiz has a team high 352 kills and 275 digs while 5-foot-10 senior Mara Peruzzi has nearly 200 kills and 200 digs.
 Santa Catalina has been playing at another level during its nine game winning streak, having swept eight opponents, including Thomas Moore last Saturday.
 Freshman Maria Santos is a powerful presence at the net and a compliment to sophomore McKinley Fox and four starter Tatumn Satow.
 Fox has alternated at the setter position with Amara Borchers. Olivia Satow has blanketed the back row while Lauren Garcia has gotten her hands on a lot of tips at the net.
