Mitch Wood

Former Alvarez and Monterey Peninsula College forward Mitch Wood scored his first two baskets for Missouri Valley College last week.
 The 6-foot-7 junior is averaging a little over five minutes a game off the bench in his first season for Missouri Valley. He also has a rebound, a block shot and a steal in the teams first three games.
 Wood was a member of The Herald's All-County basketball team as a senior at Alvarez in 2013 and started last season for the Lobos.
