Saturday's game
Marina (3-6) at Stevenson (3-5), 2 p.m.
Winless at home this season, the Pirates have fallen on hard times, dropping five straight games, two by two points or less to two playoff bound teams.
Snapping a five-game losing streak last week, Marina is looking to build off its two-point win on the road at Gonzales, knocking them out of the postseason picture.
EJ Jennings is a game-changer on both sides of the ball for the Mariners, producing two touchdowns last week and intercepting a pass late in the game to preserve the win.
Stevenson quarterback Casey Mornhinweg needs 127 passing yards to reach 2,000. Kenny Pich, Will Lansbury and Read Reynolds all need four catches to reach 40 receptions.
A Mariner win would equal the single season school record for wins. The core of Stevenson's roster will be back next year, including Mornhinweg and tackling machine Ben Mudd.
