Gilroy-North Salinas football

Friday's game
Gilroy (3-6) at North Salinas (7-2) at Rabobank, 7:30 p.m.
Two things to be aware off if you're North Salinas.
Be cautious of a letdown after clinching a share of the Pacific Division title, and a reminder that both of its losses this year came at Rabobank.
Of course, that does seem like a long time ago as the Vikings have rattled off five consecutive wins while reversing last year's record.
While the North Salinas defense rescued them earlier in the season, the offense has been in another zone of late, having scored 40 or more points in three of its last four games.
Quarterback Tim Burkhardt has amassed nearly 2,000 passing and rushing yards for North Salinas, having either thrown or rushed for 19 touchdowns.
For all the concerns about the ground game, the Vikings running back by committee approach has produced more rushing yards than passing yards this fall.
Slow starts have been a thrown in Gilroy's side as it has been outscored 85-16 in the first quarter this year.
