Soledad-King City football

Friday's game
Soledad (3-2) at King City (3-2), 7:30 p.m.
The Mustangs have trailed in all five games this year in the first half, having been outscored 68-25. Yet, the flair for the dramatic has them undefeated in the MTAL.
In two league wins, King City went on scoring binges, outscoring Marina 21-0 after being down by six, and ran off 14 unanswered points agaisnt Greenfield after trailing by seven.
The Aztecs are not a team that gives up points in bunches, having held two teams this year without an offensive touchdown, while shutting out another for three plus quarters.
The second quarter is where Soledad has asserted itself offensively behind senior quarterback Eric Martinez, having outscored opponents 31-3.
Martinez rushed for a career high 98 yards in last week's win. Two weeks earlier, he threw for three touchdown passes.
It's no secret who King City signal caller Jacob Flores' favorite target is. The senior quarterback has tossed seven touchdowns -- all to tight end Jarod Davis.
Flores, who has combined for nearly 1,200 passing and rushing yards, has rushed for 172 yards in the Mustangs last two games.
