Soledad football

 Underrated?
 Perhaps
 But not disrespected.
You don't fly under the radar when you've put together four straight winning seasons.
Yet, we don't here a lot about Soledad.
 I get it.
The Aztecs aren't flashy. The offensive numbers don't get your attention.
Still, the blue collar attitude fits this team and head coach Frankie Berlanga's image.
And that's defense and special teams.
Soledad has kept three opponents out of the end zone this year after blanking Marina 26-0. It has three defensive touchdowns and two special team touchdowns.
It's a defense that has seen Andrew Hernandez record eight sacks and return a fumble 82 yards for a touchdown, and Robert Lopez return two picks for six.
Special teams have also produced two touchdowns, including a 65-yard punt return last night by Kevin Lumus.
 One more thing.
The two losses Soledad has this fall are to two teams that are a combined 12-2 this year.
