Tuesday's game
Santa Catalina (6-0) at Carmel (5-1), 6:30 p.m.
These two teams are no strangers to battling for supremacy in the Mission Trail Athletic League as the two powers have won or shared the last eight league titles.
Santa Catalina has skirted through the first half of the league season, sweeping five of its first six opponents, needing four games to knock off host King City.
Having seen its run of 20 straight league match wins end eight days ago in King City, the defending champion Padres have won three of the last four meetings against Catalina.
Megan Gonzalez is spending time at the net and as a setter, leading Carmel with over 200 kills and 200 set assists. Lauren Salvati has been a rock in the back row.
The same can be said for Olivia Satow in the libero spot for the Cougars while a trio of hitters have been on the assault at the net, including Tatumn Satow and Maria Santos.
McKinley Fox has doubled as a setter and threat at the net for Santa Catalina, and has produced 30 plus service aces.
