North Salinas football

What gets your attention about the resurgence at North Salinas is its defense, which has scored five touchdowns this year.
If you're counting, the Vikings have created 15 turnovers, 12 in its four wins.
Ben Organista has returned two interceptions for touchdowns while Isaiah Covorubius has returned a fumble and interception for six points.
As a team, North Salinas appears to be hitting on all cylinders, having erupted for 85 points in its first two Pacific Division games.
By comparison, it had scored 74 points in four non-league games.
Still defense is dictating the tempo. In its four wins, North Salinas has allowed a total of 36 points. In its two losses, it gave up 34 points in each game.
The shutout the defense recorded in Week 3 was the Vikings first since 2012, a stretch of  31 games - and just the third in the last decade.
