King City football

Maybe King City should start each game down by a touchdown.
Because for whatever reason, this team doesn't seem to fire on all cylinders until it's in a hole.
It happened again last night when the Mustangs were staring at a 7-0 deficit in the third quarter in their home opener to Greenfield.
In all five games this fall, the Mustangs have trailed in the second half. Just once have they scored first this season.
What King City has shown is the ability to recover.
It came back from a two touchdown deficit to beat Hanford West on the final play. It recovered from two deficits to beat Marina and held off Greenfield 14-13.
I don't know if these are confidence builders as much as relief. Those were three games King City should have won.
Of course, all that matters today is King City is 2-0 in the Mission Trail Athletic League going into Friday's battle with Soledad.
