King City football

Once again a rash of injuries has beset the Mustangs.
The good news is none of them appear to be season ending.
With the teeth of its league schedule coming into focus in the next two weeks, King City should have all of its parts in place.
But this is a program that has been cursed the last three years.
Last year King City played most of the season without arguably its two best offensive players.
Last Friday it was missing its running back, and its two best offensive linemen.
While it limped through a 41-26 win over Marina, this is already a thin roster in terms of depth.
The good news is the Mustangs are finally coming home after opening the season with four straight road games -- two of them in the middle of nowhere.
Four of King City's final six games are at historic War Memorial Stadium.
Of course, the ghosts of past in an 80 plus year old stadium haven't come out to help as King City is just 4-6 at home over the last two years.
That has to change if a postseason run is in the cards.
