Friday's game
Christopher (1-3) at Salinas (3-2), 7:30 p.m.
If the Milpitas debacle was a wake up call for Salinas, it responded, especially the defense - a lunch pale type cast that has allowed just 20 points in three wins.
The Cowboys have to be careful about a letdown after such a monster win over San Benito.
If Christopher gets its quarterback back from injury, it's a different team.
Salinas quarterback Matt Castaneda has thrown for over 800 yards and 11 touchdowns, with Ryan Jensen having caught five of those.
While the Cowboys haven't run the ball well all year, they have been efficient at times, rushing for a pair of touchdowns last week.
Salinas has been a fourth quarter team, outscoring opponents 48-6.
After a 52 point eruption in its season opener, Christopher has been outscored 158-28 in three losses.
