Alisal-Seaside football

Friday's game
Alisal (3-3) at Seaside (3-3), 7:30 p.m.
One team is getting healthy. The other is gaining confidence.
Both teams are coming off impressive wins last week -- for Alisal, its first two-game winning streak in three years.
The combination of junior quarterback Raul Garnica and receiver Jafet Maciel has been lethal in the last two games for Alisal, as the pair have hooked up four times.
Garnica, who had thrown just one touchdown pass in four non-league games, has five in two Pacific Division battles.
Health was an issue for Seaside during a two-game losing skid as seven starters were missing. Five came back last week and the results were immediate in a season high 44 point win.
Junior Keishawn Robinson is on pace to become the first Spartan to rush for over 1,000 yards since the teams last CCS title in 2009.
Seaside's defense, anchored by Fernando Avila and Malik Jeter, recorded its first shutout since Sept. 6 of 2013, a stretch of 25 games.
