 When you're balanced, you're better and that's what the Vikings have been this season on offense in doubling their win total from last year.
 Defense, though, is the strength of this team as it has scored five touchdowns this year, recorded its first shutout in three plus years, and has allowed just 36 points in four wins.
 Anchored by Ben Organista and Armando Armenta, North Salinas has created 18 turnovers this fall, with Organista and Isaiah Covorubias having scored two defensive touchdowns.
 Raul Garnica has been effective throwing the ball for Alisal, with six touchdown passes in the teams three wins -- Jafet Maciel on the receiving end off three of them.
 Quarterback Tim Burkhardt has accounted for over 900 yards in offense for the Vikings, having either rushed or thrown for 12 touchdowns.
 North Salinas, who is coming off a season high 50 point eruption, won for the first time this year at Rabobank.
