Soledad-Seaside football

Friday's game
Soledad (0-0) at Seaside (0-0), 7:30 p.m.
The two teams are meeting for the first time in 14 years. The last time Soledad invaded Seaside, it recorded a 16-0 win in 2001.
The Aztecs have posted four straight winning seasons for the first time in the programs 17-year run. Seaside is coming off its worst season since the turn of the millennium.
While Seaside has been a pass first offense for nearly a decade, look for it to run the ball more this year behind an offensive line that averages over 270 pounds.
The 68 points Seaside produced last year was the second lowest total in the county. By comparison, the Aztecs scored 70 points in the first quarter alone.
Soledad's strength this year could be its interior lines on both sides of the ball. More carries could be coming for Enrique Pacheco, who rushed for nearly 700 yards last season.
The Aztecs hope to build off last year's strong finish in which they went 5-1. Seaside hasn't suffered two straight losing seasons in 16 years.
