A search that seemed never ending could be over.
Not since Seaside last won a Central Coast Section divisional title in 2009 has it had a running back capable of big play potential.
Keishawn Robinson put together a highlight reel on Friday with a 186 yard effort in the Spartans 28-14 win over Monta Vista of Cupertino.
Granted, the ground game has not been emphasized of late in the Spartans attack.
Some of that by design, some by default.
The last time Seaside had a non quarterback rush for over 100 yards was in 2010.
Robinson provides that flair the Spartans program has been missing from that position with speed and instincts.
The junior compiled over 200 yards in total offense, adding four catches for 42 yards, totaling three touchdowns.
That's an impact.
Equally important was the fact that Seaside was able to most the ball, the chains and clock in the fourth quarter, protecting a lead.
This was a growing spurt for the Spartans, who didn't win their first game last year until Week 8.
