 After a state Division IV finals appearance in 2013 and a CCS Open Division title in 2014, in which the Gators went a combined 26-2, they've dropped two straight.
 Sacred Heart Prep showed flashes of its potential last weekend, outscoring Palma 28-10 after falling behind by 21 in a three-point loss.
 Three year starting quarterback Mason Randall has thrown for 548 yards and five touchdowns this fall for the Gators. Lapitu Mahoni has rushed for over 300 yards.
 The Padres are trying to snap a three-game home losing streak that dates back to 2014. They've had an extra week to prepare for the reigning section champions.
 Covossay Windham has had back-to-back 100 yard rushing efforts, giving the 225-pound junior six straight 100 yard rushing games dating back to last year.
 Quarterback Jonathan Hugo was sharp in his last start for Carmel, completing 13-of-15 for 183 yards and two touchdowns.
 In addition to falling behind early in games, the Padres  have been outscored 13-0 in the third quarter this year.
 Carmel's defense, anchored by Rostin Ahmadi, has forced six turnovers in two games and is plus three in turnover ratio.
