Pacific Grove-Hilmar football

Friday's game
Pacific Grove (2-0) at Hilmar (2-2), 7:30 p.m.
It will be hard for the Breakers not to look at this game as redemption after Hilmar sent them to their only regular season loss last year.
The defending Mission Trail Athletic League champions scored the games first seven points, then watched Hilmar run off 28 unanswered points -- all in the second quarter.
Pacific Grove looked rusty from its bye week last Friday -- for about one defensive series.
What followed was a school record first half as the Breakers produced 57 points against previously unbeaten Fremont.
Tailback Uche Ebo has gone over 100 yards rushing in both games for Pacific Grove, chalking up 280 yards on just 26 carries.
Defensively, the Breakers have recorded seven sacks, four from Robert Wilkerson, while creating five turnovers.
Hilmar's losses this fall have come from reigning CCS Division I champion San Benito and Sonora, who is 4-1 and 15-2 in its last 17 games.
Daniel Texeira has thrown for 562 yards and seven touchdowns for the Yellowjackets while tailback Cody Rentfro has rushed for nearly 300 yards and five touchdowns in just three games.
