Trinity (9-1, 7-0)
The defending Mission Trail Coastal Athletic League champions tied a school record for wins last fall -- and have produced 18 wins over the two years.
Both of Trinity's losses in eight-man football in the last two seasons have been by two points.
Last year tailback Jackson Hill shared the state lead in touchdowns, combining for 40. He rushed for over 1,100 yards and compiled 2,022 multi-purpose yards.
The Warriors will field a 27-player roster from a school with just 60 boys, 15 of which are returning players.
Trinity has some size on defense to create a pass rush, led by Dylan Beechum, who is coming off an 11 sack season. The secondary recorded 30 interceptions, nine from Jamez Booker.
Booker also rushed for over 800 yards last year while quarterback Tristan Thompson is a threat with his right arm and legs. Dylan Beechum scored 10 touchdowns.
Trinity gained some valuable experience over the summer by playing in 7-on-7 passing camps with other 11-man football teams. Offensively, this unit will be explosive.
With just a nine-game schedule, head coach Frank Leonard is trying to line up a game against an 11-man football team.
