Football Tour X (North County)

North County (5-5, 3-3)
Stability has been an issue for this proud program -- owners of the second most league titles in the last three decades in Monterey County behind Palma.
Seven coaches in eight years have derailed the development of the program.
Sean Gomes believes he can erase that.
The Condors' new head coach is back for a second tour of duty, having coached the team four years ago on an interim basis.
That's not the case this year. The interim tag has been removed.
Gomes wants to lay roots down at North County. He's elated to be back and the feeling is mutual among his squad, as it grasps his new system.
Last year's 5-5 season was a five-game improvement over a winless 2013 campaign. Under Gomes, there is belief rather than hope.
Bobby Tovar is going to get touches this year. And rightfully so. Last year he led the team in rushing yards and touchdowns.
Jordan Graves was dynamic as a receiver, averaging over 15 yards a reception. A three-year starter in basketball, the 6-foot-3 senior can outleap a lot of defensive backs.
For as good as North County was in its five wins, outscoring the opposition 113-41, it struggled in its five losses -- four to playoff bound teams, being hammered 176-47.
