Before the New Orleans Voodoo of the Arena Football League seized operations, Reader served as the teams backup quarterback.
The one-time Palma High and Monterey Peninsula College gunslinger played in eight games for the Voodoo, throwing for 1,143 yards and a career high 21 touchdown passes.
On two occasions, Reader tossed six touchdown passes in one game, and threw for 313 yards against the defending Arena League champion Arizona Rattlers.
In three seasons in the Arena League, Reader has tossed 50 touchdown passes. Reader still holds the Palma single season record for passing yards with 2,334.
