Tucker Forbes

For someone who walked on to the UCLA baseball team three years ago, Tucker Forbes has a bigger decision today.
The former Herald Baseball Player of the Year and Stevenson product was drafted in the 30th round of Major League Baseball's amateur draft by the Giants.
The 6-foot-8 Forbes still has two years remaining at UCLA, where he blossomed this year, appearing in 18 games in relief, striking out 17 in 16 innings in conference play, compiling a 2.76 earned run average.
Forbes had not appeared in a game for UCLA until this spring.
Apparently the Giants saw enough in Forbes' limited time to make a pitch for him. A hard thrower, the 21-year-old has a big upside, resembling a right-handed Randy Johnson.

It would be awesome to see Tucker, Nick, or Devin in a Giants uniform. What a great class!

Where do you get these stats? The UCLA website as well as other news articles mention his stats as follows: "appeared in 38 games this season and posted a 2.11 ERA while striking out 45 and walking only 9." Seems like a big difference. Congrats to Tuck for getting drafted by the hometown club!
