Pacific Grove vs. Carmel

Eric Boerner hit three homers all year. All three came at the same site. Two came in the same game for Pacific Grove -- in its biggest rivals park.
"I like hitting in this park,’’ Boerner said.
Yet, his two homers weren’t enough to keep Pacific Grove and Carmel from going extra innings after the Padres rallied for four runs in the seventh.
Carmel left the bases loaded in the seventh and eighth innings. In the 10th, the Breakers pushed across two runs while Kacee Takasaki tossed two hitless innings of relief in a wild 13-11 win.
