The former Salinas High and Hartnell College All-American slugger finished as the co-leader in the CCAA in home runs this past spring for Cal State-East Bay.
On the year, MacDonald hit a team high 15 home runs for the Pioneers, leading them in runs batted in (44) and runs scored (37).
MacDonald hit .300 in 50 starts in the outfield for East Bay, with 26 of her 45 hits going for extra bases. She also sported a .987 fielding percentage, earning CCAA Player of the Week honors twice.
Former Salinas teammate Brittany Enny made the most of her opportunities as a backup catcher at East Bay, hitting .313 in 14 games.
An assistant coach at East Bay is former Salinas first baseman and East Bay alum Emily Montanez.
