Notre Dame-Belmont vs. Notre Dame-Salinas
 This was the beginning of the redemption tour for the Spirits, who suffered a loss to Notre Dame-Belmont in the preseason.
 For six innings, these two softball powers traded zero's
 Yet, the turning point came in the seventh when the Tigers tested center fielder Marisa Given's arm on a two-out single.
 Apparently, the Tigers weren't aware that Given has a softball scholarship to Oregon -- or that she has a cannon for an arm.
 Not only was the throw a dart to home plate, but it pegged the runner trying to score from second by 15 feet.
 The momentum was seized. In the bottom of the inning, freshman Alexia Torculas ripped a walk-off double for a 1-0 win in the D3 semifinals.
