Carter Aldrete, Monterey
The junior threw for nearly 1,500 yards and 17 touchdowns for Monterey, orchestrating an 80-yard, game-winning drive against eventual Central Coast Section Division I champion San Benito in the final 29 seconds.
Aldrete also rushed for nearly 500 yards and six touchdowns for the Toreadores, compiling over 2,000 yards in total offense.Bound for Arizona State on a baseball scholarship, Aldrete hit over .300 for Monterey this spring while playing flawless at shortstop. He also stepped in as a relief pitcher, earning all-county honors.

Seems like this is going to be a hard year to pick the male athlete of the year. There isnt an easy pick for these student athletes.
