Despite missing two games last year, Jones rushed for over 1,200 yards for Monterey, including a career high 310 yards against North Salinas, and 258 in a playoff loss to St. Ignatius.
Called up as a freshman for the postseason in 2013, the tailback could see his number called more this fall as a receiver to take advantage of his speed in the open field.

Will be interesting to see what goes on with the Monterey coaching staff. I wonder if Carter Aldrete will even play..Akili Jones has a shot at being a D1 player. IDK if it will happen straight out of High school but he has the talent to play at the next level.
