The inaugural CIF state swimming championships will include Palma's Austin Hussain and Salinas' Nic Clark.
Hussain used a school record 1:40.80 in the 200 free finals to not only earn a spot in the state meet, but All-American considerations as well.
Clark, an MBL champion who came into the CCS finals unseeded in the 100 free, blistered the finals in 46.62 seconds to earn a qualifying time to Friday's state championships at Clovis West.
Hussain, who will swim next year at Fresno Pacific with his older brother Alex, is seeded No. 18 in the 200 free in the state meet while Clark is also seeded No. 18 in the 100 free.
