Division III softball playoffs
Wednesday's game, 4 p.m.
No. 10 Stevenson (12-11) at No. 7 Half Moon Bay (15-12).
The Pirates went into playoff mood 15 days ago, closing the season with three straight wins, including a play-in win to earn the third seed out of the Mission Trail Athletic League.
Jensen Main was nearly flawless in her last three starts for Stevenson, allowing one earned run in 21 innings with 29 strikeouts.
Main also ripped eight homers this year, second in the county to teammate Dominique Seva'aetasi, who has 11.
Stevenson has struggled getting runners on base, as evident by Seva'aetasi having driven in just 16 runs this spring.
Half Moon Bay finished in a tie for third in the Peninsula Bay Division, closing the season with a 6-2 run -- both losses being by one run.
The Cougars are 10-2 at home this year, with Kallista Leonardos hitting .393 with 28 runs batted in. She has reached base in all but three games this year.
