No. 11 Soquel (23-5) vs. No. 3 San Benito (21-7)
 Both the Knights and San Benito knocked off West Catholic Athletic League powers in the opening round.
 Surprised?
 You shouldn't be.
 Both Soquel, the Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League champions, and the Gabilan Division champion Balers were the higher seeds.
 Plus the Balers, who have never won a section title, are 5-3 against teams in the WCAL over the last three years in the postseason.
 The last time these two teams met was in 2007 when the Balers beat Soquel 4-2 in a tournament.
 Troy Miller has five homers for Soquel with a team high 31 runs batted in. He is also 8-0 this year on the mound, pitching a gem in beating Valley Christian 1-0 on Wednesday.
 While the Balers have won nine of the last 10 league titles, this one came down to the final game of the season, putting them in playoff mood early.
