Pacific Grove-Soledad baseball

 Protect your house.
That's been Soledad's calling card all season.
The Aztecs have a share of first place in the Mission Trail Athletic League because they are 9-0 at home this spring.
Home is where Soledad will be for its biggest games of the season, starting today when it faces Pacific Grove in a battle of co-leaders.
The two teams split their first two games with each winning at home, Soledad prevailed 5-2 back on April 14.
The Aztecs are a team that has produced a lot of runs this year with reigning league MVP Daniel Farfan, Nathaniel Villarreal and Jordan Morrison all having 30 or more hits.
Soledad has scored 10 or more runs 14 times this year, with Farfan having it three homers and Morrison having driven in 33 runs.
Pacific Grove is coming off an emotional 13-11, 10 inning thriller at Carmel. In other words, it believes it can win on the road.
The Breakers had a power surge at Carmel with Eric Boerner hitting two homers. Chris Fife and Anthony Coppla both have over 30 hits this spring.
Pitching has been the Breakers strength for most of the season. It will likely be Nic Boatman's turn. Soledad will likely counter with Farfan, who has 46 strikeouts in 39 innings.
