Mikayla Revera

The sophomore sensation  has taken the first step in her goal to become the first individual to qualify for the state meet in the 400, 100 and 200.
Revera reached the Central Coast Section track and field finals in all three events at Saturday’s trials, running career bests in both the 100 and 200.
Her time of 24.40 in the 200 was the fastest mark at the trials. She will go into next Friday's finals ranked No. 2 in the 100 (12.09) and No. 3 in the 400 (55.94).
The top three in each event advance to the state meet unless they meet a state provisional qualifying mark in the finals.
What makes this feat so difficult is the 400 is before the 100. Revera will see her recovery time from the 400 to the 100 dwindle in Friday's finals because there are no extra heats.
