The distance ace produced 40 points for the Balers, doing something I've never seen in capturing the 400, 800, 1,600 and 3,200 meter runs at a championship meet.
To give you an idea of the difficulty in this, Villegas' day began with her winning the 1,600. A half hour later, she became a sprinter and ran the 400 in 57.60 seconds.
Four 100 meter races later, or roughly 20 minutes, she stepped back on the track and won the 800 -- her speciality.
Villegas capped her evening by taking an eight-lap run around the track in winning the 3,200. San Benito won the team title by 30 points.
