Seaside-Alvarez softball

 Two teams expected to challenge for supremacy in the Pacific Division have lived up to the billing.
 In Alvarez's case, an argument can be made that it has surpassed early season expectations.
 The Eagles are two wins away from tying the single season school record for wins at 15.
 Right now the focus is remaining undefeated in the Pacific against a Seaside squad that learned on the job last year while in the Gabilan Division.
 The Spartans bats have begun to heat up in the spring behind Malia Usrey and Mariele Tuazon, both members of  the 2013 title team.
 Alvarez, who has not won a title since 2006, has seen Angelina Ruiz and Viviana Soria spray the ball all over the field this spring.
 Still, look for pitching and defense to dictate the tempo with three-year starter Kaitlyn Hernandez of Seaside opposing either Giana Deleon or Irene Villa in the circle.
