Monterey baseball

Perhaps there's another reason Monterey had been in a collective team slump at the plate this spring, especially at home.
After Tuesday afternoon's 6-1 win over Salinas, a handful of Toreadore players mentioned how hard it is to hit at Sollecito Park at night.
Monterey has played five games this spring at Sollecito Park at 7 p.m., where it is 3-2.
However, it has scored just three runs in four of the five games.
It appears to be a legitimate argument when you look and see that the opponent produced just four runs in five games.
Why you'd want to play a night game in the spring on the peninsula is a mystery to me.
Assuming the schedule does not change, Monterey will not play another night game at Sollecito Park this year.
