Jaynie MacDonald

 Jaynie MacDonald is closing a chapter in her softball career at CSU-East Bay with career highs in nearly every offensive category.
 MacDonald, who prepped at Salinas and played two years at Hartnell, leads the Pioneers in homers (14), runs batted in (40), runs scored (34), extra base hits (24) and walks (18).
 Hitting .295 in the No. 2 spot in the order for East Bay, the left fielder has started 46 of  47 games, and has a .705 slugging percentage. MacDonald recently put together a 12-game hitting streak.
 Defensively, MacDonald has handled 71 of 72 chances in left field.
 And assistant coach for East Bay is former Salinas slugger Emily Montanez.
