Cameron Neff

Whether it’s a permanent move or temporary, Cameron Neff is having success coming out of the bullpen and closing for the St. Mary’s baseball team.
The 6-foot-4 sophomore has registered two saves since being asked to close for the Gaels. In nine appearances this year, Neff has 38 strikeouts in 37 innings with a 2.35 earned run average.
Neff, who pitched Palma to a Gabilan Division title in 2013, began the year as a starter for St. Mary’s, sporting a 1-2 record.
Former Palma teammate Michael Valentin has made the most of his at bats in a reserve role for the Gaels, hitting a team high .425, with eight hits in 19 plate appearances.
