In celebrating its 50th year of hosting the Central Coast Section boys track and field championships, section officials are looking to honor the meets inaugural individual and team champions.
Among the first section champions in 1966 were Fred James of Seaside, who won the 880-yard CCS title, and Don Wells of King City, who captured the pole vault.
