A program so rich in tradition and success will be sitting the postseason out this year.
The longest running boys basketball playoff streak in the county will end at 22 years for Seaside.
This coming on the heels of the Spartans capturing a Gabilan Division title last season.
So what went wrong?
Nothing.
Graduation gutted the program. Two co-MVP's anchored this team last year. The cupboard finally went bare at Seaside.
It happens.
King City missed the postseason last year in girls basketball after a 31 year run.
I wouldn't bet on Seaside's drought being long term.
There are some players in the program. You just have to be patient and let them grow up.
