Greenfield-Catalina girls hoops

Apparently 24 days away from the hardwood didn't effect Santa Catalina's shot.
Producing 115 points in their first two MTAL games have the Cougars unbeaten going into tonight's home battle with co-leader Greenfield.
The Bruins didn't exactly strike fear into the opposition with its 3-6 non-league record.
League play is all that matters and Greenfield is 2-0 coming into its early season battle, including a road win at Pacific Grove.
The Bruins have turned to their tenacious defense, holding their first two MTAL opponents to a total of 70 points behind Adriana Jimenez.
When Greenfield needs a shot in the arm, it turns to holdovers Carissa Daniel and Claire Serrano.
Three of the Cougars top five leading scorers from last year are back, including all-leaguer Madison Fox, who is dropping in just under 17 points a game.
Sprint champion and sophomore forward Mikayla Nolen-Rivera has been a menace on defense for Santa Catalina, coming off a six steal, six block effort.
