Biggest girls basketball impressions

The logical choice would be North Salinas, who is dynamic and poised for a third straight Gabilan Division title.
Reigning league MVP Alyssa Springs looked like she was on another planet when she dropped in 35 points against SAC Joaquin Section power Clovis West.
Yet, the team that made a big impression during the Christmas Holidays and non-league season was Monte Vista Christian, who in nine wins, outscored opponents by nearly 400 points.
That is not an accident when it's nine opponents.
These two teams are clearly the class of the tri-region area and could make for two epic battles in the Gabilan Division this winter.
Seaside got my attention with a solid non-league season. The return of point guard Marielle Tuazon from a knee injury will make Keia Scott-Mitchell that much more dangerous in the paint.
Carmel is going to be a factor in the MTAL with Holly Whittaker and Amber Clark averaging nearly 27 points a game.
You can stop one of them, but not both.
Pacific Grove is still the team to beat, even though its offense went AWOL during the holidays.
Marisa Given has knocked down 69 3-point goals in each of her last two years for Notre Dame. The senior has 27 in 10 games. This is the team to beat in the Pacific.
