Biggest boys basketball impressions

Wins don't necessary determine who made the biggest impression during the Christmas Holidays.
 Oh, don't get me wrong.
It helps send a message and trigger momentum.
Yet, confidence can be enhanced based on strength of schedule.
That being said, Salinas and Palma made the biggest statements as league play is 48 hours away.
The Cowboys captured three tournament titles and saw LaRon Logwood and Willie Gray both earn tournament MVP honors. This is a team with a lot of options.
The same can be said for Palma, who under a new regime, seem to be similar in that defense is dictating its offense.
Wyatt Maker and his 6-foot-8 frame are difficult to move out of the paint.
A new face to watch this year is Monterey sophomore Kobe Ordonio, who lit up gyms during the holidays.
Poised for a big season is Alisal junior Jessy Hurtado, who has the spotlight to himself this year in 'The House of Thrills.'
Reigning two-time MTAL MVP John Stivers is back for four-time champion Carmel while Pacific Grove had its first non-league winning season in 11 years.
A healthy Chrystian Harrigan could change Gonzales' fate in the MTAL.
