Practice begins today for the Monterey County high school all-star football game, which is slated for Friday, Jan. 16 at Rabobank Stadium in Salinas.
Alvarez coach David Bottom will guide one squad while Salinas coach Steve Goodbody is coaching the other side.
Among those slated to play include Salinas quarterback Zach McDermott, Palma defensive lineman Eduardo Barbosa, Seaside lineman Dariyn Choates, Alvarez quarterback Edric Gamble, King City receiver Dominic Rose, Carmel quarterback Connor Marden and Monterey receiver Michael Armstead.
