Sportsmanship games

 The start of the winter sports season tips off tonight.
 Well, actually the official start is Tuesday.
 Tonight is the Sportsmanship Games. Meaning, they don't count in the standings.
 It's a revenue driven event, where teams face a local rival in hoops.
 Yet, if I'm Seaside or Monterey, do I want to see them three times this year?
 These games are really nothing more than glorified scrimmages.
 And that's fine. It's a chance to see a lot of players for evaluation.
 But emotions always run high when Monterey and Seaside battle.
 I guess it's a good time to test that sportsmanship.
