MPC women's hoops

Considering the Lobos have played most of the season without their best player in the paint, winning 10 non-conference games is a confidence boast.
As sophomore Darjhian Tennant plays her way back into shape after suffering a leg injury, MPC is a team to watch in the Coast Conference in 2015.
The Lobos haven't had a big presence in the paint this year, at times going with a four guard lineup.
Having Tennant -- the 2013 Herald Player of the Year from North Salinas High back inside -- will force teams to rethink their defensive schemes.
In her absence, Soledad grad Felicia Villarruel has sizzled from the outside for the Lobos, as she is sixth in the state in scoring at just under 22 points a game.
Alex Sierra has given the Lobos another option, averaging just under 14 points a game while Kyana Rivera leads the team in assists and steals.
