3. Christopher: You don't want to get involved in a shootout with this team.
4. Monterey: Give this new cast time to build some chemistry.
5. Pacific Grove. Three straight OT wins to open the season.
6. Monte Vista: What until the football players get their legs.
7. Alvarez: Talented group still building cohesiveness.
8. Seaside: Has to take better care of the ball in transition.
9. San Benito: Has been involved in three games decided by five points or less.
10. Stevenson: Only two losses are to teams outside the CCS.
On the bubble: Carmel, North County, Alisal.
