Aptos-Seaside boys hoops

Assuming the weather does not postponed this tournament tonight, Seaside will finally open its season against Aptos in the Bob Hagen Memorial Tournament in Gilroy.
The reigning Gabilan Division champions are the last team to finally play a game that counts. Then again, that was the case last year when Seaside only played five non-league games.
Graduation gutted the Spartans of their top four scorers from last season. Guard RJ Johnson and 6-foot-4 post Dariyn Choates are still getting their legs under them after football season.
After opening the season with two wins, Aptos has lost two straight games -- one by 33 points, the other by 32.
Four players are averaging 10 or more points a game for the Mariners, including 6-3 returning all-leaguer Ben Dorfman.
