Who would you rank lower than Monterey that is higher?
1- Aptos although a B league probably a little stronger non-league schedule. Monterey could of helped itself here. Only loss to Granite Bay which is better than most WCAL teams this year or comparable.
2) Burlingame - 9-1 A league team with only loss to SHP - Open division #1 seed.
3) Pioneer - same record. A league and was in league championship game. Nonleague: An A+ league game against Valley Christian and a win over Terra Nova who defeated Salinas (co-champ). This win put them over Monterey.
4) St Ig - St Ig got the A+ league points. They defeated a very good St Mary's Stockton and were in almost every WCAL game.
Monterey got unlucky to get St Ig early because having seen both teams - Monterey will not match up with them. St Ig probably will win the playoff. Their QB is the best in the WCAL and very solid all around. Hopefully Monterey will win, but they will need to play their A game. Probably going to be an Aptos v St Ignatius final. They are tough in day games in San Francisco.
