Soquel-Salinas boys polo

One of the longest running league title streaks of any sport in the state belongs to Soquel, who has rattled off 19 straight boys water polo titles.
Over that time frame, it has suffered just one league loss in 20 years.
That will be put to a test on Thursday when the Knights visit Salinas, who is undefeated at home this fall, which happens to be the Hartnell College pool.
Salinas is off to one of its best starts in school history at 15-2. Its lone league setback was a 20-11  loss to Soquel on Sept. 16.
Nat Hunsdorfer is closing in on a second 100 plus goal season for the Cowboys, leading the league in goals with 90.
Yet, while Salinas has one sniper in the pool, the Knights have two in Jack Pickard and Max Somple, who have combined for 171 goals.
Neutralizing both is a tall order. In the teams first meeting, the pair combined for 13 goals while the Knights defense held Hunsdorfer to a pair.
Salinas goalie Liam Parrish has produced nearly 200 saves in the cage this fall. But he will need help on defense from the likes of Coleman Stewart and Andrew Meyenberg.
