Less than 48 hours after falling to San Benito in five games, the Spirits bounced back with arguably their biggest win in three years, ending Salinas' run of 51 straight league wins.
And they didn't waste time, sweeping the Cowboys.
Salinas is likely going to win the ultimate prize and capture its fourth straight Gabilan Division title.
But what a pick-me-up game for the postseason for the Spirits.
Notre Dame will be in Division V this year, making them an early CCS favorite with a legitimate shot at state.
Whatever was said before Thursday's match for Notre Dame, make it an annual speech.
