MPC-Merced football

Saturday's game
Monterey Peninsula (3-2) at Merced (2-3), 1 p.m.
Two of Merced's three losses have been by a total of five points. Its 42-28 win at Hartnell two weeks ago was a statement.
Ironically Merced has not won at home this year, while the Lobos are searching for their first road win.
Quarterback Juwan Brown has thrown for 683 yards and five touchdowns and rushed for nearly 300 yards and four scores for Merced.
MPC is averaging over 30 points a game this fall. Sophomore quarterback Keon Marsh has thrown for over 1,100 yards and eight touchdowns.
Four different receivers have 10 or more catches for MPC, including sophomore Joseph Jakubowky, who has 34 receptions. Jacob Robante has rushed for nearly 400 yards in his last three games.
Alex Elterman has kicked six field goals this year for MPC while Akeel Marsh leads the Lobos in tackles and interceptions.
